Ronda Rousey was suspended by WWE after attacking referee Dan Engler during SummerSlam.
Rousey contested the title fight against Liv Morgan, a match she lost to the blonde.
As part of her angry rampage, Ronda Rousey grabbed the referee on the canvas to apply an armbar-necklock.
The reaction came after Engler ignored Liv Morgan’s submission at Rousey’s hands. Annoyed by this, the wrestler submitted the referee on duty.
WWE’s statement
After Ronda Rousey’s actions, the WWE took action and suspended the wrestler.
The sanctions were made known by a statement published on the official WWE website.
“Following her attack on referee Dan Engler at SummerSlam, Ronda Rousey has been fined an undisclosed amount and will be suspended,” read the statement.
“An irate Rousey attacked the referee after her SmackDown Women’s Title match, claiming she didn’t see Liv Morgan slapping on the Armbar as she counted the three count.”
