Golden State Warriors led by Stephen Curry won their seventh NBA title by defeating the Boston Celtics 103-90 at the Garden.
By winning their seventh ring, the Warriors surpassed the Bulls, who have six titles, and became the third winningest team in the league behind the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, who each have 17 crowns.
Jordan’s dynasty
Chicago’s six titles were won with Michael Jordan as team leader, with the Bulls winning in ’91, ’92, ’93, ’96, ’97 and ’98. That team won six rings in eight Finals contests.
In all the finals in which the Bulls won the championship, Jordan was the MVP, that is to say, he has six rings and six MVP trophies. He is followed by LeBron James with four, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Tim Ducan with three.

Curry’s dynasty
The Golden State Warriors have reached six NBA Finals since 2015, of those Finals they have won four and reached seven titles, surpassing the Chicago Bulls, who wrote their history with Jordan and Pippen.
Curry was drafted in the first round of the draft in 2009 by Warriors, it took him six years to win a title, but since that time he is a constant visitor in the finals.
The Warriors won the ring in the 14-15, 16-17, 17-18 and 21-22 seasons. Along with Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, they are the only three players to win all four championships to become one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history.
To add salt to the Bulls’ wound, the Warriors in 2016 surpassed Chicago as the team with the most wins in a season.
In 95-96 Chicago finished 72-10, that legendary team included Jordan, Rodman, Kerr, Kukoc and Pippen. In 2016, Warriors reached 73 wins, one more than Bulls.
